Monday Morning Dobro
I’m loving my dose of Monday morning dobro.
Happy MLK day!
Francis Cianfrocca has clear, concise commentary on the current economic crisis. http://ping.fm/r4hjj
Is up and disappointed that last night’s precipitation was all wet. No snow:(
My new hero, Alfonzo Rachel.
One of my great frustrations in life is that 90% of black* voters consistently vote Democrat despite the fact that many of them are culturally and/or fiscally conservative.
I abhor prejudice of any kind and it is clear that there is cultural prejudice against Republicans. No other reason fully explains why any group of Americans would repeatedly vote in a nearly unanimous block for the same party regardless of the candidate.
Alfonzo Rachel gives conservatives like me some small comfort and for that reason I bet there are some powerful people that want him to shut up. Fortunately Alfonzo has stones the size of bowling balls and is a lot smarter than his critics.
*My disdain for hyphenated- american euphemisms would not allow me to use the term “african-american”.
1980’s flashback
Metrosexuals may be the acceptable men of the new millenium, but in Atlanta during the early ’80’s, ” if you want to be the man, you got to beat the man!”
Metrosexuals? We don’t need no stinkin’ metrosexuals!
Played at guitar, feel better now. I play like I have lobster claws for hands but that’s OK because I sing even worse!
Monday mornin’ dobro
Having trouble getting started this morning? Here’s a dose of Monday morning dobro to get you shaking:
And no, that’s not me dancing. I don’t dance that well.
Unemployment is 7.2%. Bad but no “Depression”. ’92 & ’82 were worse. Just hang in there like our parents did.
